Why I Built Daisy.

Sophie Nikjoo, ARDMS

I built Daisy for every woman who has ever felt dismissed, found herself down a Google rabbit hole at 3 a.m., or been forced to navigate a healthcare system is broken.

I've been performing ultrasounds since 2016 and am board-certified through the ARDMS with a specialization in breast imaging. I began my career at a dedicated women's breast center, where I spent years performing breast ultrasounds and supporting women through some of the most uncertain moments of their lives—from suspicious findings and biopsies to difficult diagnoses. Those experiences taught me that while technical expertise is essential, what women often remember most is how they were cared for.

Then the work became deeply personal.

After losing my cousin to breast cancer, I found myself facing many of the same barriers my patients had shared with me for years. I understood the anxiety of wanting answers, only to be met with long waits, referrals, and a healthcare system that often made proactive care feel out of reach. That experience changed the way I thought about women's healthcare—and ultimately inspired me to create Daisy.

My vision was simple: to make expert breast imaging more accessible, more personal, and far less intimidating. No waiting rooms. No unnecessary referrals. No age restrictions. No navigating endless obstacles just to gain peace of mind. Just thoughtful, high-quality care delivered in the comfort and privacy of your own home.

I'm also the founder of Bun + Oven, an in-home pregnancy ultrasound service built on the same belief that women deserve healthcare that's convenient, compassionate, and centered around them. Those are values that continue to shape everything we do at Daisy

We didn't reinvent breast ultrasounds.

We reinvented everything around them.

From booking to results, every detail of Daisy was intentionally designed to make expert breast care simpler, more personal, and more accessible.
